Teeny Tiny Show call for entry

The Starkweather Arts Center in Romeo, MI is seeking small artwork for their exhibit, the Teeny Tiny Show. Entry deadline is May 3, 2013.

From their website:  Starkweather Arts Center is looking for small works of art for their May 2013 juried exhibition, The Teeny Tiny Show. Artists are invited to enter up to 6 works of art, to be no larger than 8 inches in any direction. Only UNFRAMED, ready to hang works of art will be accepted. Examples of this include gallery wrapped canvases, wood panels, painting mounted to or done on wood, ceramic tiles, metals, and sculptures

Map It exhibit call for entry

The Riverside Arts Center in Ypsilanti, MI is seeking entries for their exhibit, "Map It." Entry deadline is July 1, 2013.

From their website: Are you a map lover?  Do you love to incorporate maps / globes / map concepts in your artwork creations?

If so, then this is the “Map It” theme juried exhibit for you…. This will be both an online and a gallery exhibit.

Muskegon Museum of Art call for entry

The Muskegon Museum of Art in Muskegon, MI is seeking entries for it's 85th Reginal Exhibit.

From their website: The MMA’s Regional Exhibition holds a respected position within Michigan’s art tradition, representing the best in our artistic community. This year, for the second year in a row, the invitation to enter artwork is extended to artists throughout our state. Registration is open to all artists 18 years and older who reside in Michigan.

Up to two artworks may be submitted for juror selection. Artworks must be physically brought to the Museum from Thursday, May 2, through Saturday, May 4, or be shipped, pre-paid, to arrive by May 1. Digital entries are not accepted.

Blooms, Beasts, Bugs exhibit call for entry

The Scarab Club in Detroit, MI is seeking entries for their exhibit, "Blooms, Beasts and Bugs." Entry deadline is April 21, 2013.

From their website:  The Scarab Club invites all artists to submit work for its Blooms, Bugs, Beasts Exhibition. It is an all-media exhibition with a theme of flowers, insects, animals, landscapes and seascapes. The purpose of the Blooms, Bugs, Beasts exhibition is to recognize the diversity and achievement of artists whose work show creativity of concept, excellence of design and expertise of media; to display these works to regional audiences and to be an educational opportunity for students.

Marilyn Prucka's work at Concordia University

Congratulations to SAQA-MI member Marilyn Prucka. Her work, "Fronds", is part of a national juried exhibit "Grace" at the Kreft Gallery.
