Mary Vinovskis of Ann Arbor correctly identified our mystery photo in March as a picture of ice cubes and powdered dye being used to "ice dye" fabric. As the winner of that contest, she will have her work shown as the banner photo on the SAQA-MI blog during April, May, and June.
The photo chosen for April depicts Mary's quilt "Architectural Abstract" (30" x 36"), which was made in response to a challenge to use architecture as a theme and was inspired by Frank Gehry's buildings with their dramatic curving roofs and walls.
