blog facelift

Hello everyone, Lynn here.

In case you haven't noticed, the blog has gone through a little bit of a face lift. Anne and I would like to make it a resource for you and a place for you to call your own. I thought I'd take a moment to point out the new things, feel free to explore and if you have any suggestions, please let us know.

One of the new features is the addition of Pages. If you look beneath the blog banner, you'll see a bar with titles. Click on one of those and you'll go to a Page of the blog with additional information for that specific topic. Let's take a look at each one.

Anne will be holding contests for the image that is displayed there. The current winner of the last contest is Mary Vinovskis of Ann Arbor. The image that is on the banner now is a detail of her quilt "Garden Frolic".

Want to see the whole thing? Thought you might. I did too. So we set up a Page called Blog Banner Gallery to show the whole view.

Each contest winner will have their quilt on display for three consecutive months. Its a great way to put your work in the spotlight. :)

SAQA-MI reps

We are still working on this Page but it will have information about Anne and I so you can see who your reps are.

SAQA-Michigan reps

This page features SAQA events happening in Michigan. It will include SAQA national events that are passing through the mitten as well as member events. So don't be shy, toot your own horn. Send us info about what you have coming up - exhbits, teaching, etc - and we'll add it so everyone can see what the MI members are up to.

Right now we have a couple of SAQA exhibits coming to Grand Rapids this summer so be sure to check out the Page and make your plans - both look fabulous!

We'd love to add to this page all the time so keep the info coming.

SAQA national events

Kind of self explanatory, right? We'll gather the big doings of the national group so you can find information easily. These will be events like the auction and the upcoming conference. (Info is up there now for both of these if you were wondering about either one.)

Contact Us

We mean it. We are always here for you to hear what you have to say, even if its just a hey-how-are-you-doing kind of email. :)

The thing I love most about blogs is that they are constantly evolving. So we'll continue to tweak things as the needs of the group become known to us.  In the meantime, enjoy the new look of the blog and check everything out!

Thanks!

Lynn
